Balloon Flower Blue
A native of East Asia, this clump-forming herbaceous perennial is hard to beat for the cutting garden, borders, containers, and rock gardens. Blue flower buds puff up like balloons before opening, hence the name, then exhibit five-pointed lobes with bell-like shape. Remove spent flowers to prolong bloom period. Exceptionally long vase life. Platycodon grandiflorus
