Planting & Care

Planting InstructionsSet rhizome so bottom half is below ground level. Firm well and water thoroughly. Plant where they will get at least 5 hours of sun per day.

Soil RequirementsWell drained preferred. Quite tolerant of a wide range of soils.

Watering RequirementsAverage water needs. Water regularly, do not overwater

Fertilization RequirementsOnce per year

PruningRemove spent flower stems. In late fall, cut foliage to 6" fans. Remove plant debris to prevent borers from overwintering. After flowering, and cut foliage back in late fall.

Winter CareMulch in colder climates and remove in early spring before growth starts.
