Description

A favourite of peony growers for generations!

Very popular as cut flowers, this delightfully fragrant peony has fully double blossoms that are white with flecks of red on the tips. Gorgeous and fluffy flowers have a long vase life. For landscaping, stems may need support when flowers mature. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner.

Why do I garden? Some of y’all might recall the heartbreak MisterDitty and I went through May 2020. Some of you might remember I basically went radio silent in the quilt world for over a year. And some of you probably have no clue what I’m even talking about. It boils down to this…we can’t always prep and expect our plans to follow through easily or happily. We can’t always have or get what we want…or what we deserve for that matter. Both our hearts were shattered…and I turned to my flowers during that season of loss and mourning. I *could* spend hours outside soaking up sun and talking to God one-on-one. I *could* plan my garden and pretty much expect them to bloom. I *could* snip off stems and bring my flowers inside with me. My garden was where I was able to dig in and find some joy. Of course my flowers don’t replace the void of our babies’ presence, but they sure helped me focus and more quickly accept that His plan isn’t always “my” plan. And I’m at peace with that. — So here we are nearly 4 years to the day later, and my flowers are a perfect May reminder for me to always trust God’s plan, trust in my faith, and celebrate the blessings that I do have. So today, in addition to “Deep & Inner Thoughts from Sarah,” I share with you my early-mid May peonies: Lorelei, Coral Charm, Mary Jo Legare, Festiva Maxima, High Noon, Gardenia & Moon River. I adore these blooms and love sharing them with y’all as well. Trust me…more are on the way! ☺️ — #saridittyflowers #peoniesaremyfavorite #peony #pinkpeonies #brecksbulbs #saridittygarden
