Its large, spherical blooms measure 3" in diameter and are hued a lovely violet-pink. Because of its bloom time, it fills a flower void created by spring-blooming bulbs and summer-opening perennials. Appealing to hummingbirds, butterflies and bees, but not to deer, rodents and other foraging creatures. Not available in ID and WA. Allium carolinianum
